American Plan Accommodations
Located over 550 miles northwest of the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada you will find Laurie River Lodge nestled in the narrows that separate the North and South ends of McGavock Lake. This beautiful 40' by 60' chalet is strategically situated to provide our guests with access the first 40 miles of the Laurie River System (a tributary to the mighty Churchill River) and several smaller lakes in the area southwest of the small mining town of Lynn Lynn Lake, Manitoba.
Constructed from solid logs harvested in the local area, the lodge with its huge stone fireplace, open beam construction and roomy atmosphere provides an excellent forum for a relaxing before dinner cocktail and promotes story telling from old and young fishermen alike. The recreation room boasts a Player Piano, dart board, and well stocked library to help to keep the mind entertained when the body is simply too tired to cast another lure. The Dining area can comfortably seat 30 fisherman and 16 feet of sliding glass doors present diners with the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful view of the McGavock Lake Narrows right from their dinner table. The screened in porch with its view of both the dock and the lake makes a wonderful place to enjoy an after dinner drink or simply watch the world go by.
Laurie River Lodge guests reside in one of 6 contemporary lakeside cabins. Each of these well appointed, completely modern cabins is designed to keep our fishermen warm, dry and comfortable during their non-fishing times. Private bedrooms with cozy beds, 3 piece bathrooms, warm carpeted floors, 110 volt electricity and large decks with a view of McGavock Lake are all part of what makes Laurie River Lodge one of the most popular fly-in fishing destinations in northern Manitoba. Our skilled cleaning staff provides daily maid service ensuring that you return to a clean comfortable well stocked cabin at the end of each day of fabulous fishing.
